Objective:

◈ The main objective of the MDP is to develop professional efficiency, leadership skills, attentive work, mental health, decision-making power, and judgmental thinking.

◈ How we can practice mindfulness activity in our day to day life.

◈ Leading to mental agility, resilience, and self-awareness.

◈ Mindfulness can reduce emotional exhaustion, increase openness to new ideas and develop compassion and empathy.

About the program:

◈ This MDP has provided knowledge and developed skills regarding mindfulness and given a clear idea of mindfulness and its importance.

◈ This MDP focused on the practical aspect of mindfulness with various techniques and activities such as imaginary, body scan, object movement, breathing, and mindful sensational activity.

Highlights of the Management Development Program:

◈ MDP on Mindfulness for Rejuvenation of Professionals was inaugurated at Rai University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat on 23rd July 2022 at 10:00 am Onwards. Participants from other Institutes and Rai University staff members from various branches such as Management, Science, Life science, Commerce and Pharmacy had participated.

◈ Program started with lamp lighting by the guests, speakers, and HODs. After that Preeti Das (Assistant Professor) introduced the guests and the speakers. HODs and Director had welcomed guests and the speaker with a plant. After welcoming Guests and Speaker, Mr. P.C Valera (Jeevan Aastha helpline) graces the program by giving importance to mindfulness for the prevention of suicidal cases. Dr. Jatin Padalia from Vayotsav Foundation has focused on mindfulness for mental health of old age people. Dr. Rasik Meghnathi (speaker) shared his knowledge on Mindfulness, its characteristics, principles, two key ingredients with some examples. Dr. Pooja Thakar (Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, Rai University) explained mindfulness techniques with the activity of breathing, imaginary, object movement, body scan, and sensational activity and even explained the benefits of each activity. She gave a clear idea about self-compassion and self-esteem and how we can practice. In the end, HOD has facilitated memento to Mr. P.C Valera, Dr. Jatin Padaliya, Dr. Rasik meghnathi, Dr. Pooja Thakkar as a token of respect and appreciation.

◈ There were more than 50 participants of various streams like, Management, Commerce, Science, Life Science and Pharmacy had attended the program. At the end, Dr. Ashish Rami, Head-Department of Management & Psychology, Rai University had given vote of thanks.
