Report on Hindi Divas Celebration at RU on 14th September 2023
Evolve club of Rai University celebrated Hindi Diwas in association with IIC,SSIP,RSMS on September 14, 2023 under G20 Presiedential year. Hindi Diwas with an offline event titled "Hindi Samvad," attracting the participation of 70 students and 10 faculty members. The event aimed to raise awareness about Hindi as one of India's official languages and encourage students to engage in various Hindi language-related activities, including poem recitations and essays.
The event fostered a deep appreciation for the Hindi language, motivating and positively influencing the youth. Hindi Diwas, initially celebrated in 1953, marked a significant milestone in promoting the language. This year's celebration at Rai University featured two student-friendly competitions under the "Hindi Samvad" theme: Hindi Poem Recitation and Hindi Elocution Competition.
Around 40 students participated in these events, with on-the-spot registrations further encouraging participation. The students showcased their creativity and knowledge in the Poem Recitation, while the Elocution Competition allowed them to articulate their thoughts on specific themes.
The event's highlights included active participation from students across different branches, fostering a sense of enthusiasm and unity. It provided a platform for students to express themselves in Hindi, emphasizing its importance. Notably, the competition welcomed fresh and creative perspectives, offering participants a chance to win prizes and recognition.
The winners of the Poem Recitation were Mahek Jaiswal (1st prize) and Sayli Saw (Runner-up). In the Elocution Competition, Priya Rajput claimed the 1st Prize, with Abhishek Singh as the Runner-up.
In summary, the "Hindi Samvad" event at Rai University on Hindi Diwas successfully promoted Hindi language and culture, inspiring students to embrace and celebrate their linguistic heritage while showcasing their talents and creativity.
