On September 25, 2024, the institution celebrated “World Pharmacist Day”, dedicated to recognizing the significant contributions of pharmacists to global health and well-being. The event, organized around the theme “Pharmacist: Meeting Global Health Needs,”highlighted the vital role that pharmacists play in addressing healthcare challenges and improving patient outcomes worldwide. This year’s celebration was marked by a range of interactive activities, presentations, and competitions designed to engage students, faculty, and healthcare professionals alike.

Raise Awareness About Safe Medication Practices
To promote awareness of safe and effective medication use, including the importance of prescription adherence, avoiding self-medication, and preventing medication errors.
Celebrate and Recognize the Contributions of Pharmacists
To acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of pharmacists to the healthcare system, particularly in areas such as disease prevention, chronic disease management, and patient counselling.
Enhance Collaboration Between Healthcare Professionals
To foster collaboration between pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to improve interdisciplinary approaches to patient care and optimize therapeutic outcomes.
Provide Continuing Education for Pharmacists
To offer pharmacists opportunities for professional development through workshops, seminars, and discussions on the latest advancements in pharmaceutical practice and healthcare.
Promote Community Health Initiatives
To encourage pharmacists to actively participate in community health initiatives such as vaccination drives, health screenings, and public education on chronic diseases.
Encourage the Role of Pharmacists in Public Health Campaigns

– In alignment with the event’s theme, the poster presentation saw enthusiastic participation from students. Various topics were explored, focusing on innovative ways pharmacists can meet the growing demands of global health. The creative and informative posters showcased emerging trends in pharmacy practice and the role of pharmacists in tackling issues such as medication accessibility, patient education, and healthcare innovations.
2. Pharma Marketing
– Faculty Coordinator: Miss Kapila N. Kalesh
– A dynamic and interactive session on pharmaceutical marketing was led by Miss KapilaN.Kalesh, where students were tasked with developing strategic marketing ideas for pharmaceutical products. This competition provided students with insights into how marketing influences the pharmaceutical industry and, by extension, global health outcomes.
3. Pharma Recipe
– Faculty Coordinator: Mr. RavikiranVegada
– One of the unique highlights of the event was the Pharma Recipe competition. This activity encouraged students to design novel pharmaceutical formulations and products. It was a creative platform where students could showcase their knowledge of drug formulation and patient-centric care. The competition drew attention to the technical and innovative skills that pharmacists contribute to the healthcare industry.
4. Catch My Potential If You Can
