Aarambh (Orientation Program) for newly admitted students is being conducted from 24th August to 26th August 2022. Students were welcomed with traditions by tilak and introduced to the culture of the School, Campus, and University. The orientation program began by offering prayers to our almighty. All the students took part in Hawan Puja and started their first day with God’s grace. Prof. Preeti Das(Assistant Professor Rai School of Management Studies) & Prof. Dhruv Trivedi(Assistant Professor, Rai School of Engineering) anchored for the day. The students were further welcomed by Dr. Anil Tomar, Provost, Rai University, Ahmedabad with his words of motivation and lessons for lifelong learning. He narrated incidents and success stories to motivate the students. He asked students to take challenges and explore opportunities. The students were further given an introduction to Rai University by Prof. Dr. C.P. Sharma ( Director of Academic and Accreditation) He briefed all the students about the schools, departments, and various committees, cells, and clubs of the University. Additionally, he informed the student about the accomplishments, honors, and legacy of Rai University, Ahmedabad.
He explained to the students how Rai University supports them in discovering their abilities, achieving their objectives, and growing professionally. Prof. Lalit Adhikari (Registrar) addressed the students and advised them to be focused on academics as well as on developing their skills, even students were acquainted with the opportunities they will be receiving and all the support and guidance that they will be getting from the Rai University. Mr. Pragnesh Patel, central librarian, Rai University enlisted rules and regulations of the library and reading room and explained the library registration process. Following that, students introduced themselves to other students and faculty members and make their buddies for an ice-breaking session. They enjoyed the ice-breaking activities very well.

On the 2 nd day, The second day of the program started with enthusiasm which was anchored by Prof. Jankhana Baraiya (Assistant Professor, School of Pharmacy) & Prof. Binal Rahate (Assistant Professor, Rai School of Science). They introduced Prof.Yashesh Darji, SSIP coordinator, and in-charge head of the mechanical engineering department. He explained to students the importance and objective of SSIP and IIC. He elaborated the Student Startup & Innovation Policy of the Government of Gujarat aims to create an integrated, state-wide, university-based innovation ecosystem to support the innovations and ideas of young students and provide a conducive environment for the optimum harnessing of their creative pursuit. Further students Participated in Boot Camp which was organized by SSIP & IIC cell. Mr. Karmjitsingh Bihola (Design Thinker, Innovation Strategies and Startup Mentor) explained to students about the Minimum Viable product or business. In that, he guided students in building an MVP that helps prevent the initial product from unwanted and unneeded features. This means that new customers will get a simple product that exactly performs what it is showcased to the audience. The faster release of the software provides with the opportunity to test the market at first. It was an interactive session. After the workshop, Mr. Hardik Patel (Head, Student Affairs and Assistant Professor CS-IT) explained about academic registration process and documentation. At the end of the day, students enjoyed Talent Mania by performing Dance, Singing, Poetry, Raping, and instrumental. HODs judged the performance and awarded the winner (Ms. Shital Bavaliya, BS.c IT), and runner-up(Raavi Taison, BS.c IT) and encouraged the other students to participate in various events organized by the university. The day concluded with student’s Academic registration.

On the 3 rd Day, DR SUBODH M KORGAOKAR (M.B.B.S. F.C.G.P) explained the importance of blood donation to society and even explained the symptoms of thalassemia and the thalassemia test. He informed students that many thalassemia patients depend on blood transfusions to survive and thrive, and they are so grateful to each and every blood donor and to those who organize blood drives. Donating blood is one of the easiest ways to help save lives. Further Students and Staff donated blood enthusiastically and even got a certificate for donating blood. After that student’s explored the campus and various laboratories, departments, classes, and administration offices. The 3-day extravaganza came to an end. At the end of AARAMBH, students captured the memories of the orientation program by taking photographs. The whole event is managed by the REET club. – Prof. Dhruv Trivedi, Prof. Preeti Das, Prof. Jankhana Baraiya, Prof. Binal Rahate.
