Report on “Bonfire Camp” on 9th January 2025
Introduction:
On the 9th of January 2025, the Office of Student Welfare & Affairs at Rai University organized a Bonfire Camp exclusively for hostellers. The event aimed to create a platform for students to unwind, share their thoughts, and participate in engaging activities in a warm and friendly environment. The initiative was a part of the university’s ongoing efforts to foster a sense of community and belonging among its hostel residents.
Event Highlights:
1. Welcoming and Introduction: The evening began with a warm welcome speech by the Ms.Khushi singh and Mr.Nayan Patil who emphasized the importance of such gatherings in building a strong campus community and Hostel life. The students were encouraged to actively participate and make the most of the event.
2. Bonfire Lighting Ceremony: The bonfire was ceremoniously lit amidst cheers and applause from the participants. It symbolized unity and togetherness, setting a cheerful and cosy tone for the night all coordinators & some girls and boys lighting the bonfire.
3. Interactive Session: An open mic session followed, where students were invited to share their thoughts, experiences, and creative expressions. Many students stepped forward to recite poems, narrate stories, and discuss topics close to their hearts. The interactive session provided a platform for self-expression and peer bonding.
4. Team-Building Activities: A series of fun team-building games and activities were organized to foster collaboration and camaraderie. From group charades to Dam Sarara, the activities were met with enthusiastic participation and laughter.
5. Cultural Performances: The evening featured cultural performances, including singing, dancing, and skits, showcasing the diverse talents of the hostel community. The performances added a lively and entertaining element to the camp.
6. Snacks and Refreshments: A variety of snacks and refreshments were served. The cosy atmosphere around the bonfire, combined with delicious treats, added to the enjoyment.
7. Concluding Address: The event concluded with a heartfelt address by the organizing committee, thanking everyone for their enthusiastic participation. Students were reminded of the importance of stepping out of their comfort zones and embracing such opportunities to connect and grow.
