Report on NSS Day Celebration at Rai University on 24th Sep 2024

Event Summary:

On the occasion of NSS Day, the NSS Cell of Rai University organized a cleanliness drive and waste management activity within the campus. The event aimed to instill awareness about cleanliness and environmental conservation among the volunteers and the university community.

Objectives:

1. Promote the message of cleanliness and hygiene.

2. Engage students and staff in practical activities related to waste management.

3. Strengthen community responsibility under the NSS motto: Not Me, But You.

Activities Conducted:

• Cleaning designated areas within the campus, including storage spaces, common areas, and parking zones.

• Sorting and segregating recyclable waste from non-recyclable materials.

• Proper disposal of waste collected during the drive.

Participation:

The event witnessed active participation from:

• NSS Volunteers

• Faculty members and staff

• Students from various department

Event Highlights:

• The volunteers efficiently collected and segregated waste.

• Necessary safety protocols, including gloves and masks, were followed to ensure hygiene during the activity.

• The activity inspired collective responsibility and teamwork among the participants.

Outcomes:

1. Approximately 8-10 kg of waste collected and segregated.

2. Improved awareness of proper waste disposal methods among the university community.

3. Enhanced campus environment cleanliness.
