One Day Training Session on How to Prepare Question Paper Based on BLOOM'S TAXONOMY on 10 October, 2024
Bloom's Taxonomy serves as a framework for educators to establish clear learning objectives and assess students' cognitive levels during examinations. Recognizing the challenges educators face in aligning assessment questions with this taxonomy, the Rai School of Sciences, in collaboration with the examination cell, hosted a comprehensive one-day training session. Led by Mr. Veerendra Singh Nagoriya, the Controller of Examination (I/C) of Rai University Ahmedabad, the session aimed to equip faculty with the skills needed to create effective question papers.
Dr. Shital Thacker, Assistant Professor at the Rai School of Sciences, opened the event with a welcome note, emphasizing the critical role examinations play in the educational process. The session engaged over 40 faculty members from various departments, fostering vibrant discussions around best practices for developing balanced and fair assessments that cater to different cognitive levels. Participants shared their insights and challenges, promoting a collaborative approach to enhancing question paper design.
The event concluded with Dr. Pradeep Kumar Singh, Dean (I/C) of the Rai School of Sciences, expressing gratitude to the speaker, followed by a vote of thanks from Dr. Rini Paulose. Overall, the training session was a valuable opportunity for faculty to deepen their understanding of Bloom's Taxonomy and its application in education.
