Celebrating World Earth Day – Educational Visit Science City on 22 & 23rd April 2024

On April 23, 2024, Rai University, Ahmedabad, organized an educational visit to Science City Ahmedabad to celebrate World Earth Day. This in-person event, held from 10:00 am to 03:00 pm, saw the participation of 42 students and two faculty members, Dr. Rini Paulose and Mr. Rahul Parmar. Organized by SSIP, IIC, and Rai School of Sciences, the visit aimed to foster critical thinking, environmental awareness, and appreciation for science and nature among participants.

The journey commenced punctually at 09:30 am, reflecting the university's commitment to professionalism. Safety measures were diligently observed, and students were oriented towards the visit's objectives. Upon arrival, thorough security checks were completed, and participants were guided through various exhibits, actively engaging with the displays.

The visit began at 11:00 am with the Aquatic Gallery, showcasing 188 species of fishes. Students explored different zones, such as the Indian, Asian, and African Zones, gaining insights into marine ecosystems and conservation efforts. This was followed by the Robotics Gallery, where students observed the utility of robots in medicine, agriculture, space exploration, defense, and entertainment. This exhibit sparked curiosity and innovation among the participants.

The final exhibit, Planet Earth, focused on natural disasters like earthquakes, volcanoes, and landslides. Students learned about geological processes and discussed disaster preparedness and environmental conservation. This immersive experience not only expanded their horizons but also fostered personal and intellectual growth.

The visit culminated in interactive discussions and feedback sessions, highlighting students' creativity and knowledge. By providing a platform for innovative ideas and collaboration, the visit laid the foundation for future endeavors in India's entrepreneurial landscape. This educational visit to Science City was a pivotal moment in aligning students' experiences with the dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem in India.
