Freshers’ Party on 30th Sep 2023
The 30th of September 2023 marked a momentous day at Rai University, Ahmedabad, as the much-anticipated “Freshers’ Party” for the academic year 2023-2024 unfolded. This event, orchestrated by the dynamic “Reet - The Cultural Club” and the dedicated Student’s Council, was a jubilant occasion that brought together students to celebrate the commencement of their college journey.
The festivities commenced with the lighting of a sacred lamp, a symbol of prosperity and blessings. Esteemed dignitaries including Prof. Dr. Anil Tomar, Prof. Lalit Adhikari, Prof. Dr. Brijendra Yadav, Mr. Uren Kumar, and Mr. Nirav Vaidya, invoked the blessings of goddess Saraswati, infusing the event with cultural significance.
The celebration featured captivating folk dance performances that whisked the audience on a cultural odyssey across India, showcasing the rhythmic footwork and vibrant costumes that represent the country's rich cultural heritage.
Talented students took the stage, with Arjun from BCA and Taison from BSc. IT delivering mesmerizing performances. The freshers had their moment in the spotlight through stunning ramp walks and a variety of dance performances, each displaying exceptional talents, making it a tough competition.
The evening’s highlight was a captivating fashion show, concluding with Bhavya Ponkiya from B Pharma earning the title of Mr. Fresher and the exceptionally talented Aditi Shukla from BBA being crowned Miss Fresher. Aditya Singh from B.Tech and Kavya Panicker from B.Tech were recognized as the first runners-up.
The event reached its pinnacle with a soulful musical performance and an electrifying flash mob, leaving indelible memories for all in attendance.
As the event drew to a close, a spirited Garba Dance brought students and faculty together, epitomizing the university’s commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community. These memories will serve as a wellspring of inspiration, encouraging students to contribute to the nation’s growth, prosperity, and unity.
