Report on Industrial Visit at HCCB, Goblej and Shri Sidhivinayak Temple on 19th October 2022
Coca-Cola one of the leading beverage brands across the globe. It has maintained its legacy for more than a century. An industrial visit to ‘Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverage Pvt. Ltd.’ plant in Goblej, Ahmedabad was organized by Rai University, Ahmedabad on 19th October 2022. The visit was planned for the students of MBA, BBA and B.Com. The students were accompanied by the faculty Prof. Preeti Das and Dr. Kirit Chavda. The students and faculty left for the HCCB plant at 9:30am and took about an hour to cover the distance.
As soon as they reached, they were given a very warm welcome and were briefed about the safety rules they were to follow during the visit via a video message. It also turned out that the Rai University was the first University to send its students for industrial visit to HCCB after COVID 19. An orientation session was conducted by Ms. Priya Patel (Engineer-Quality Control) who provided very useful information about the Coca-Cola Company which includes historical background, number of products, employees and its quality standards and every possible detail was shared with the students. The students were taken to the Assembly Line by her, where she was thoroughly patient in answering the various questions of the students regarding processes and operations undertaken at the plant. The PET unit had the capacity of producing 600 bottles per minute.
Ms. Patel was very thorough in explaining the students about the preparation of Carbonated and non carbonated beverages made at the PET unit. She also answered various other questions pertaining to the number of employees, shifts, products etc. As the company say’s “Opens Happiness”, the visit beyond doubt opened the happiness of students.
At the end of the visit the students were given bottles of ‘Minute Made’ as a souvenir to remember this visit as a refreshing one.
The students and the faculty also visited Shri Sidhivinayak Devasthan Temple, Mahemdavad, where the students and the faculty offered their prayers to Lord Ganesha. The temple is built in area 600,000 sq. feet. The temple is 120 feet in length, 71 feet in height, 80 feet in width and the 56 foot height from the ground to be an idol in the temple. The students and the faculty explored this vast temple and enjoyed the peaceful and serene environment there.
The visit in the end became a source of knowledge and spirituality for the students and the faculty of Rai University, Ahmedabad.
