“Industrial Visit of Concord Biotech LTD” at Valthera Plant on 6th November 2023
On November 6, 2023, students and faculty members from Rai University’s School of Pharmacy undertook a significant industrial visit to Concord Biotech Ltd, Valthera Plant. The purpose of this educational journey, commencing at 10:45am, was to provide participants with first-hand exposure to pharmaceutical industrial processes, fostering a practical understanding of the field.
The visit encompassed various areas of the Valthera Plant, offering participants a comprehensive view of pharmaceutical production. Dr. Manoj Kumar, the Plant Manager, conducted an informative session in the seminar hall, providing valuable insights into Concord Biotech Ltd. Additionally, key areas such as the air filtration and water purification plants, entrance areas with safety protocols, storage spaces for raw materials, production and packaging units, and the QA-QC department were explored.
Participants witnessed the entire lifecycle of pharmaceutical products, from raw material storage to the production and packaging stages, gaining practical knowledge that supplements their academic learning. The visit not only enriched their understanding of production processes but also emphasized the importance of quality assurance, safety measures, and cleanliness in the pharmaceutical industry.
During the industrial visit, participants achieved valuable learning outcomes. They gained insights into pharmaceutical production, witnessing the automated stages of product creation and packaging.
