Industrial Visit to "AMUL Dairy" Bhat, Gandhinagar on 4th November 2023

Rai University’s Industrial visit to Amul Dairy on November 4, 2023, provided students from the Rai School of Management Studies in Ahmedabad with a comprehensive and enlightening experience. Accompanied by Prof. Mr. Sayan Mandal, the visit encompassed various facets of Amul Dairy, offering a deep dive into India’s renowned dairy cooperative. Ms. Kriti, a knowledgeable guide, highlighted key features, starting with Amul’s rich heritage under the leadership of Dr. Verghese Kurien. The itinerary included a dairy farm tour, showcasing livestock management and milk quality maintenance.

The visit extended to the milk processing unit, emphasizing modern technology in stages like separation, pasteurization, and packaging. Stringent quality control measures were evident, ensuring the purity and safety of dairy products. Students gained insights into the manufacturing processes of butter, cheese, yogurt, and ice cream, witnessing Amul’s commitment to hygiene standards. The visit also explored Amul’s adoption of automation and advanced technology, showcasing improved efficiency and product quality.

Packaging, distribution, and marketing strategies were integral components, underscoring Amul’s iconic advertising campaigns.
