International Seminar on National Education Policy-2020 on 1st February 2024
The International Seminar on National Education Policy-2020, conducted by the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Student Startup Innovation Policy (SSIP) of Rai School of Management Studies, Rai University, convened on 1st February 2024. Hosted in a hybrid mode, the seminar attracted a significant audience, with 100 students, 30 faculties, and 27 external participants engaging in discussions on the newly formulated national education policy. The primary objective of the seminar was to facilitate comprehensive discussions and exchanges of ideas regarding the goals, implications, and implementation strategies of the policy, fostering collaboration and partnership among stakeholders.
The event commenced with a ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the presence of enlightenment, setting a tone of intellectual pursuit and understanding. Prof. Dr. Brijendra Singh Yadav, the Registrar of Rai University, extended a warm welcome, emphasizing collaboration and dialogue in shaping educational discourse. The Honourable Provost, Prof. Dr. Anil Tomar, provided profound insights into the seminar's themes, guiding attendees towards a deeper understanding of critical issues and potential avenues for constructive action.
Distinguished speakers such as Prof. Dr. Jagdish Joshi and Dr. Sowmit Chandra Chanda enriched the seminar with keynote speeches, offering comprehensive overviews, profound insights, and fresh perspectives on challenges and opportunities in education policy. Panel discussions featuring eminent personalities like Dr. Ritu Sharma and Prof. Dr. Sailesh Iyer, moderated by Dr. Virali Pande, sparked critical reflections and generated innovative solutions to propel the education sector forward.
The seminar addressed key themes including equity and access in education, quality enhancement, digital transformation, and sustainable development goals. Participants engaged in discussions on policy objectives, implementation challenges, impact assessment, innovation, and best practices in education policy formulation and implementation. Emphasis was also placed on inclusive education, diversity, and social justice in policy frameworks.
The seminar concluded with a valedictory session, where Mr. Saurav Bhola expressed gratitude to all participants, speakers, organizers, and sponsors for their contributions.
