One Day Workshop on Design Thinking, Critical Thinking & Innovation Design on 24th January 2024
Rai University, Ahmedabad, successfully organized a workshop on “Design Thinking, Critical Thinking & Innovation Design” on January 24, 2024. The event, jointly organized by IIC (Institution’s Innovation Council), SSIP (Student Startup Innovation Policy), Techify, and Rai University, aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding and practical skills in three interconnected areas: design thinking, critical thinking, and innovation design.
The offline event witnessed active participation from 120 students and faculty members of Rai School of Management Studies (RSMS), along with three external participants. The objectives were clear: to promote a structured and human-centred approach to problem-solving, cultivate disciplined and analytical thinking, and encourage the creation of novel solutions through innovative design.
The workshop delivered numerous benefits to participants. It enhanced holistic problem-solving skills by integrating various methodologies, fostered an innovative mind-set, and emphasized a user-centric approach. Through interdisciplinary projects and diverse perspectives, collaboration and teamwork skills were honed. The event also focused on improving communication skills and cultivating adaptability, flexibility, and strategic thinking.
The workshop commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting and Sarasvati Vandana. Dr. Sandip Chandra, the Honourable Head of the Department of RSMS, welcomed the participants and set the tone for the event. Esteemed speakers, including Miss. Deepmala Katoch, a Techify HR Professional, provided valuable insights, advice, and guidance to attendees. The alumni talk highlighted the organizational aspects of HRM, talent acquisition, and the current and future scopes in these fields.
Miss Deepmala Katoch, Mr. Zankhan, and Miss Prajatha shared their experiences, shedding light on critical thinking, innovation, and the changing landscape of Human Resource Management. Miss Katoch, in particular, encouraged students to connect with her on LinkedIn for further HRM support and innovative opportunities.
The workshop also featured fun activities aimed at team-building, talent acquisition, and fostering teamwork cultures within organizations. Attendees engaged in interactive sessions, ensuring a dynamic learning environment.
The workshop successfully achieved its objectives, providing participants with valuable skills and insights applicable to real-world scenarios. The event not only enriched the participants’ knowledge but also provided networking opportunities, paving the way for future collaborations and idea exchanges.
