Pharmacy Week Celebration on 25 - 28th September,2024

Overview:

The Pharmacy Week Celebration at Rai University from 25th to 28th September 2024 was a grand success. The event aimed to celebrate the contributions of pharmacists and raise awareness on critical health topics, fostering a spirit of learning and community engagement among students and faculty.

Program Objectives:

 The primary goals of the celebration were:

 To acknowledge and promote the essential role of pharmacists in healthcare.

 To enhance students’ knowledge and skills through interactive activities, competitions, and awareness programs.

 To encourage community service through health awareness initiatives such as blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, and awareness rallies.

Program Highlights:

 The event spanned four days, with each day dedicated to different activities and health campaigns.

 Key activities included an interactive “Pharma Recipe” competition, a poster presentation, and a marketing competition.

 A plantation and cleanliness drive, a blood donation camp with thalassemia testing, and a rally on drug abuse awareness were conducted.

Key Activities and Competitions:

1. Pharma Recipe Competition:

Students showcased innovative pharmaceutical formulations and solutions for health challenges.

2. Poster Presentation:

Focused on trending pharmaceutical topics and innovations, encouraging student research and presentation skills.

3. Pharma Marketing Competition:

An engaging event where students demonstrated their marketing skills and pharmaceutical knowledge.

4. Valedictory Function:

Concluding remarks and reflections on the event’s impact, with certificates awarded to participants and winners of the competitions.

Special Activities:

26th September 2024:

A “Plantation and Cleanliness Drive” was conducted under the guidance of faculty coordinators Mr. Aman Tiwari and Mr. Pratyush Brahma, promoting environmental consciousness and community hygiene.

27th September 2024:

A “Blood Donation Camp” and “Thalassemia Testing” were organized with faculty coordinator Ms. JyotiVerma, encouraging students and staff to contribute to public health.

28th September 2024:

An “Awareness Rally on Drug Abuse” was held, led by faculty coordinators Mr. DeelipGamipudi and Mr. SoumyaranjanBiswal, to educate the community on the dangers of substance abuse.

Reflections and Conclusion:

The Pharmacy Week Celebration successfully fulfilled its objectives, fostering a sense of professionalism and community service among students. Participants engaged actively in all the activities, displaying creativity, knowledge, and a commitment to public health. The awareness programs, particularly the rally on drug abuse and the blood donation camp, had a meaningful impact on both the university and the local community. In conclusion, the event provided a platform for the holistic development of pharmacy students, blending academic rigor with real-world applications and social responsibility.
