Webinar On “Importance of Profession readiness training” on 19th October 2023
On the 19th of October 2023, Rai University, Ahmedabad, organized a highly informative webinar titled “Importance of Profession Readiness Training” in Clinical Research and Pharmacovigilance. The event, conducted online by the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) and Student Start up Innovation Policy (SSIP), saw the participation of 41 students, 16 faculties, and two external participants from Clini India.
The primary objective of the webinar was to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and the practical requirements of the professional world in the fields of clinical research and pharmacovigilance. The transition from educational institutions to the workforce is a significant change for recent graduates, involving adaptation to new environments, responsibilities, and expectations. The event aimed to prepare participants for this transition, helping them make a successful entry into their careers.
The workshop, held at 3:00 p.m., featured Akansha Singh, an eminent personality from Clini India, as the speaker. The workshop’s key objectives included providing a comprehensive understanding of clinical research and pharmacovigilance, developing essential professional skills such as communication and time management, building confidence, emphasizing the importance of networking, and encouraging adaptability to corporate settings.
The workshop covered a range of topics, including setting career goals, maintaining work-life balance, financial literacy, conflict resolution, continuous learning, mentorship, practical exercises and simulations, resume building, interview skills, personal branding, corporate etiquette, and the benefits of attending such webinars.
Participants gained insights into the scope of pharmacy, skill enhancement, industry-relevant knowledge, increased employability, networking opportunities, confidence building, career advancement, continued growth, adaptability, resilience, and long-term success. The webinar served as a valuable platform for students and faculty to interact with industry experts, enhancing their understanding of the professional landscape and equipping them with the knowledge and skills required for successful careers in clinical research and pharmacovigilance.
