Report on National Science Day on 28th February 2022
Department of Science, Rai School of Sciences, Rai University, Ahmedabad celebrated ‘National Science day on 28 February, 2022 which is sponsored by LabMATE, Ranchi and Co-sponsored by Chem dyes Corporation, Rajkot. The theme for the Year 2022 was “Integrated approach in Science and Technology for a sustainable future” The day was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The Inaugural function was attended by Prof, Pradeep Kumar Singh, Head, Department of Science, Rai University, Prof. Ashok Roondhe, Deputy Registrar (Academics and Administration), Rai University, Dr. Sriram Kanvah, Professor IIT- Gandhinagar (Chief Guest), Dr. G. Ravi, Senior Scientist, IPR, Gandhinagar (Chief Guest) along with Deans, HODs and Faculty members of the Rai University.
The event was started by lamp lighting and worshiping Maa Saraswati. Prof. Ashok Roondhe Deputy Registrar (Academics and Administration) presented opening remarks. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Sriram Kanvah and Dr. G. Ravi. He emphasized the need to go beyond textbooks and imbibe the knowledge from all the spheres for the overall development of any pharmacist. He encouraged and motivated students to take up challenges and put efforts to achieve excellence in their life.
On the occasion of ‘National Science day’ there were Poster, Models and Science Photography competitions. More than 100 students participated in all events. Students were shown their creative ideas and knowledge in posters and models. Fresh ideas in a competition got opportunity to win prizes in the occasion.
