Report on “Tree Plantation Drive” On Occasion of Republic Day on 27th January 2025
Objective:
Raise Environmental Awareness: Educate participants about the importance of environmental conservation and the role individuals can play in protecting the environment
Promote Sustainable Practices: Encourage sustainable practices such as recycling, reducing waste, and conserving resources among participants and the broader community.
Tree Plantation Drive: Organize a tree plantation activity to contribute to afforestation efforts and promote the benefits of planting trees for environmental health.

About the event:
On the occasion of Republic Day, a tree plantation drive was conducted in Rai University on 27th January 2025. Like every year, this year, also all the students and faculty members of our Rai University organized a grand program on the occasion of this 76th Republic Day. The event was organized by the Rai School of Sciences in association with NSS & Praytn Club. The aim of the drive was to raise awareness among students about the importance of trees for the environment and to encourage them to participate in activities that help protect the planet Everyone was feeling very patriotic and happy because it was a matter of great pride for all of us because on this day the constitution of India came into force and our country became a republic on 26th January, as Climate-conscious individuals, the event of tree plantation was held at the campus ground, Rai University Ahmedabad
The event started with teachers apprising students on the benefits of planting trees, such as reducing air pollution, conserving water, and preventing soil erosion. Then, the students, along with the teachers and school gardener, proceeded to plant saplings in the school premises. The saplings were of various species, including Neem, Banyan, and Peepal, which are known for their high oxygen production and environmental benefits. Students were divided into groups, and each group was assigned a specific area for plantation. The students enthusiastically participated in the drive, and with the help of the forest officials and teachers, they planted around 10 saplings in and around the school premises. They were also taught how to take care of the plants, and were encouraged to visit the site regularly to monitor their growth and development. The tree plantation drive conducted in our school was a great success, and it helped create awareness among students about the importance of trees for our environment. It also encouraged them to actively participate in such events and take steps towards a greener future
Rai University marked environmental education by planting plants on campus. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of protecting and preserving the environment. The university believes that by educating its students and the surrounding community about the benefits of tree plantation, they can contribute to a greener and healthier future. Students and faculties actively take part in the drive.
