Report on Voting Awareness Program on 3rd May 2024
Purpose:
The aim of the voting awareness program organized by NSS Cell in Rai University was to inculcate the importance of voting among the voters and to do their duty by participating in the festival of democracy, inculcate leadership qualities in the students, remove stage fright, enhance planning skills and motivate the students.
Activities:
1. Chart Paper Display: Various chart papers were used by NSS volunteers to demonstrate the importance of voting, electoral process and active participation in democracy. The display boards were used as informational tools to sensitize voters and motivate them to vote.
2. Wall of Democracy Signing Drive: Provost Sir encouraged all the faculties to participate in this celebration of democracy and celebrate democracy as a festival by voting. Then the Registrar, Dean and Principal, who pledged their commitment to exercise their voting rights. The mass signing of the "Democracy Wall" served as a symbolic representation of civic responsibility.
It sounds like a phenomenal event! Educating people about the importance of voting in a democracy is important. It not only gives voice to individuals in the decision-making process but also helps shape the future of the nation. A seminar organized by volunteers of National Service Scheme (NSS), which shows a proactive approach towards civic engagement and social responsibility.
Highlighting the importance of voting in different languages possibly how voting affects different levels of governance from local to national and how each vote contributes to formulating policies and electing representatives who serve the interests of the people, and to encourage and participate in the democratic process. Provost Surrey administered an oath to all staff members to take place.
The closing of the seminar adds a symbolic touch, reinforcing the commitment to uphold democratic values and responsibilities. It is such events that can inspire and empower individuals to actively engage in the democratic process and make informed decisions during elections.
Result:
The Voting Awareness Program successfully achieves its objectives by:
To inculcate leadership qualities and planning skills in the Students.
Eliminate stage fright through interactive activities and engagement.
To promote a sense of civic responsibility and awareness about the importance of voting.

The initiative of the NSS Cell at Rai University exemplifies the institution's commitment to nurture socially responsible citizens.
