Workshop On “Engineers Day Celebration” 15th September, 2023

Objective:

✥ The main goal was to provide knowledge to youth about Engineers day and give a platform to interact with Guest.

Highlights of the Workshop:

Engineering Day is a significant event dedicated to celebrating the achievements, innovations, and talents of our engineering students. Rai University organized a workshop on ‘Engineers Day Celebration’ on 15th September 2023 at 10:00 am. The speaker of the workshop was an eminent personality Mr. Amit Kholkute 23 years of professional experience in SAP. He is ERP practitioner and researcher. He is woking with Tata Consultancy Services and playing multiple roles ranging from SAP consultant, Technical architect, project and program management, delivery head serving the customers across the globe transforming their IT footprint to ERP, Sustaining the same and advising them to adopt their innovation for standardization and simplification of their IT application footprint. In his present role he is working with global customers as advisor for modernization of ERP – SAP to enable digital transformations.

Mr. Amit Kholkute completed his master’s degree from BITS Pilani in Mechanical Engineering and bechlar’s degree in Production Engineering from Nagpur University. He is pursuing his PHD from GLS university Ahmedabad in Management(ERP).

He also shared his industrial journey with the students and some life long learnings which is very useful for the students. The session was further highlited on the word “Engineers”. He explained the how this world is getting revolutionized by engineers. He also motivated students to create something magnificient being an Engineer which can be memorized by upcoming generations.

Highlights of Engineers day celebration
1. Poster and Model Presentation Competition:

The Engineering Day festivities kicked off with a Poster and Model Presentation Competition. Students from various engineering departments participated in this event, displaying their projects, innovative designs, and engineering solutions. The competition provided a platform for students to showcase their creativity and technical expertise. Mr. Kamlesh Patel, Dr. Sandip Chandra, Dr. Dhanya J.S. was the judges of the model presentation and Ms. Poonam Chakravarty, Ms. Bhoomi Patel, Dr. Purvi Kalal was the judges for the Poster presentation. Judges, consisting of faculty members and industry professionals, evaluated the presentations based on content, clarity, and innovation.

2. Treasure Hunt for Students

One of the most anticipated activities of the day was the Treasure Hunt, which saw enthusiastic participation from 60 teams of students. The treasure hunt challenged teams to solve puzzles, follow clues, and navigate through the campus to uncover hidden treasures. It was a thrilling adventure that tested teamwork, problem-solving skills, and quick thinking.

3. Quiz for the Top Ten Teams:

After an exhilarating treasure hunt, the top ten teams emerged as finalists and advanced to the Engineering Quiz. This quiz was designed to assess their engineering knowledge, critical thinking abilities, and awareness of current technological trends. The competition was intense, with participants demonstrating their mastery of engineering concepts and principles.

4. Prize Distribution:

The climax of the Engineering Day celebration was the Prize Distribution ceremony, where the winners of the Poster and Model Presentation Competition, the Treasure Hunt, and the Engineering Quiz were recognized and rewarded for their exceptional efforts. Prizes included certificates and trophies.

In Poster Presentation competition, Yagnik Krupali has secured 3rd rank, Dhruvi Jani & Prince Raj has secured 2nd rank and the 1st rank is secured by Abhishek Sharma,Jagdeep Mohanty, Harsh Tiwari, Abhinav Samntra and Anand Maurya.

In Model Presentation, Dushyant Bhoi & Arkan Shekh has secured 3rd rank, Yakub Khan, Ritish Raval, Ravi Gajjar & Taxak Gajjar has secured 2nd rank and the 1st rank is secured by Mrunal Gaikwad, Pushkar Singh and Sheikh Asif.

In Treasure Hunt and Kahoot Quiz, Rahulkumar Sohil, Tanmay shivam has secured 3rd rank, Natasha Chhikodzor, Tapasvi Jha, Priya Sana, Sneha Raj & Khushboo Giri has secured 2nd rank and the 1st rank is secured by Mohammad Kapasi, Harsha and Dev Saini.

The ceremony was attended by faculty members, students and HODs. This event not only celebrated the achievements of our engineering students but also encouraged a spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition within the university community. It served as a reminder of the crucial role that engineers play in shaping our world and solving complex challenges.
