World Pharmacist Day celebrated on 25th September 2021

School of Pharmacy, Rai University Ahmedabad celebrated World Pharmacist Day on 25th September, 2021. The theme for the Year 2021 was Pharmacy – Always trusted for your health. The day was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The Inaugural function was attended by Dr. Anil Tomar, Provost, Rai University, Prof. Lalit Adhikari, Registrar, Rai University, Mr. SudhirGhule (Chief Guest) Vice President, Manufacturing Operations and Cluster Head, ZydusCadila, Prof. Pradeep Kumar Singh, Academic Coordinator, School of Pharmacy along with Deans, HODs and Faculty members of the Rai University.

The event was started by lamp lighting and worshiping MaaSaraswati. Dr. D.M Patel Dean presented opening remarks. The keynote address was delivered by Mr. SudhirGhule. He emphasized the need to go beyond textbooks and imbibe the knowledge from all the spheres for the overall development of any pharmacist. He encouraged and motivated students to take up challenges and put efforts to achieve excellence in their life.

On the occasion of World Pharmacist day there were Poster and Rangoli making competitions. More than 100 students participated in both event. Students were creative with their ideas and knowledge. Students took the opportunity to spread awareness about disease and their preventions by using poster presentations and Rangoli designs. Students were very happy to visit the campus and celebrated World Pharmacist Day with great endeavor.
