It is observed for various reasons and celebrated differently in various parts of the Indian subcontinent. In Gujarat, Navratri is a community event, where people perform Garba on devotional songs that are popular by the names of 'Dandiya Raas' and 'Garba Raas', and perform Jaagran (waking through the night), to please the Goddess. Gujarat is a favorite pilgrim for devotees during Navratri. As per the Indian tradition, Navrotsav (navratri celebration) was organized on 16th October, 2020 to 24th October, 2020 at Rai University. The celebration was all about offering prayer to the goddess Navdurga. In this event, everyday Provost Dr. Anil Tomar Sir, Registrar Lalit Adhikari Sir and all the faculty members were pleasing goddess with “Jay Aadhyashaki” aarti. The event was well attended by the all the faculty and staff members. With the current situation, Rai University decided to celebrate with just prayer and to ask for blessing for everyone’s good health.
